JAMB Announces Fee Hike for 2024 UTME Registration Amidst Release of Exam Dates

In a recent statement, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has disclosed an adjustment in the registration fees for the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The updated fees are set at Seven Thousand, Seven Hundred Naira Only (N7,700) for UTME registration, inclusive of a mock examination. For those opting out of the mock exam, the fee stands at Six Thousand Two Hundred Naira Only (N6,200). This represents a notable increase from the previous costs, with the JAMB form without a mock exam now at N7,700 and the application form with a mock exam at N6,200.

Before this revision, the cost of the JAMB form without a mock exam was Five Thousand Seven Hundred Naira (N5,700), and the application form inclusive of a mock exam was priced at Six Thousand Seven Hundred Naira (N6,700). Additionally, the application documents for foreign candidates will now be available at $30. A comprehensive breakdown of these fees is expected when JAMB unveils the registration details on or before January 15, 2024.

In tandem with the fee adjustments, JAMB has officially announced the dates for the 2024 UTME. The main UTME is scheduled to take place from April 19 to 29, 2024. The registration period for the sale of UTME application documents will span from January 15 to February 26, 2024. As part of the preparatory process, JAMB has designated March 7, 2024, for the 2024 MOCK-UTME, providing candidates an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the examination format.

Candidates are urged to print their examination slips from April 10, 2024, which will contain crucial details such as the examination venue, date, and time.
