Lawmaker Distributes 500 Free JAMB Slips to Somolu Constituents

In a remarkable display of commitment to education and youth empowerment, the Member Representing Somolu Federal Constituency, Ademorin Kuye, recently orchestrated the distribution of 500 free JAMB (Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board) slips as part of the Kuye Free JAMB Forms programme for the year. The event unfolded at the Former Somolu Local Council site on Durosimi Street, Somolu, Lagos, drawing a sizable audience of beneficiaries and their parents, alongside Kuye himself and prominent members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Somolu.

Addressing the young recipients, Kuye expressed his hopes for their future success, emphasizing that their admission letters would be the ultimate validation of the initiative. He reminded them of the privilege they held, emphasizing that some individuals had pursued such opportunities without success. Kuye’s words underscored the significance of not taking their current prospects for granted.

In an additional show of support, Kuye announced the commencement of free coaching classes for all the beneficiaries, scheduled to begin the following Monday. Encouraging parents to allow their children to attend these classes, Kuye stressed the importance of not allowing any student to lag behind in their preparations for the upcoming exams.

Speaking directly to the students, Kuye highlighted the challenges associated with the JAMB exams, describing the transition from secondary school to university as a spiritual battle that requires determination and focus. Drawing inspiration from successful individuals who emerged from the Somolu Bariga community, including music stars like Nice, Olamide, and Tony Tetuila, Kuye motivated the students to recognize the value of education.

In a bid to guide the beneficiaries towards success, Kuye urged them to remain focused and avoid distractions, including excessive engagement in activities like following Premier League football, particularly in the months leading up to their exams. Emphasizing the importance of prioritizing their academic pursuits, he assured them that there would be ample time for other interests once they successfully navigate the JAMB hurdle.

Kuye’s initiative goes beyond the distribution of free JAMB slips; it extends to providing the necessary educational support and guidance that can significantly impact the academic journey of these young individuals. By coupling the distribution of JAMB forms with free coaching classes, Kuye is not only investing in their present but also laying the foundation for a brighter future for the youth of Somolu. As the beneficiaries embark on this educational journey, they carry with them not just a JAMB slip but the promise of a community that believes in their potential and is dedicated to supporting their academic aspirations.
