In a laudable initiative, the Sanko Educational Foundation has embarked on a mission to uplift the educational aspirations of underprivileged students in Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The foundation, founded by Mr. Obadiah Sankyai, has initiated the distribution of free Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board’s (JAMB) Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) forms to over 400 indigent students.

The formal inauguration of this noble endeavor took place in Kagoro on Friday, with Mr. Sankyai expressing his deep commitment to the development of education at the grassroots level. As an educational entrepreneur, he emphasized his desire to give back to the community that played a crucial role in his upbringing.
“I am very passionate about education, and that is why I decided to help our young ones in this area,” Mr. Sankyai stated during the inauguration. He further highlighted that the beneficiaries would not only receive free JAMB lessons but also enjoy complimentary transportation to their respective examination centers on the crucial exam day.
In addition to this significant initiative, Mr. Sankyai announced ambitious plans by the foundation to extend scholarships to 500 students pursuing higher education from Kaura Local Government Area by the end of 2024. This announcement underscores the foundation’s long-term commitment to empowering the youth through educational opportunities.
Prof. Ben Gugong, the Commissioner for Sports and Youths Development, commended the Sanko Educational Foundation for its noteworthy efforts in reaching out to the less privileged in society. The commissioner acknowledged the impact of such initiatives in promoting access to education and creating a positive trajectory for the future of these students.
