Hadith is the name of that body of literature which includes the Prophet (SAW)’s speech, his action, his intention, the description of his physical appearance,or his moral character, and what he confirmed by raising no objection against it when mentioned or happened before him. In other words the hadiths constitute the theory and the major holy texts for most members of the Islamic faith. A fairly small number of fundamentalist Quranists reject the ahadith as authentic holy texts.

Sunnah is that practice of the Prophet (reported by a hadith) which he performed habitually,or regularly. The Profession of Faith,; The Shahada
The Profession of Faith, the shahada, is the most fundamental expression of Islamic beliefs. It simply states that “There is no God but God and Muhammad is his prophet.” It underscores the monotheistic nature of Islam. It is an extremely popular phrase in Arabic calligraphy and appears in numerous manuscripts and religious buildings.

(6ii)
Daily Prayers; Salat
Muslims are expected to pray five times a day. This does not mean that they need to attend a mosque to pray; rather, the salat, or the daily prayer, should be recited five times a day. Muslims can pray anywhere; however, they are meant to pray towards Mecca. The faithful pray by bowing several times while standing and then kneeling and touching the ground or prayer mat with their foreheads, as a symbol of their reverence and submission to Allah. On Friday, many Muslims attend a mosque near midday to pray and to listen to a sermon, khutba.

Alms-Giving; Zakat
The giving of alms is the third pillar. Although not defined in the Qu’ran, Muslims believe that they are meant to share their wealth with those less fortunate in their community of believers.

(6iv)
Fasting during Ramadan; Saum
During the holy month of Ramadan, the ninth month in the Islamic calendar, Muslims are expected to fast from dawn to dusk. While there are exceptions made for the sick, elderly, and pregnant, all are expected to refrain from eating and drinking during daylight hours.

Pilgrimage to Mecca; Hajj
All Muslims who are able are required to make the pilgrimage to Mecca and the surrounding holy sites at least once in their lives. Pilgrimage focuses on visiting the Kaaba and walking around it seven times. Pilgrimage occurs in the 12th month of the Islamic Calendar.

The wife has to observe a period of iddat, a period of waiting and abstinence, after talaq is pronounced. His early interests were in music. He then started studying alchemy and philosophy. At the age of thirty, he stopped his work and experiments in alchemy due to eye irritation by chemical compounds he was exposed to. Among his discoveries in alchemy, he is credited with the discovery of sulfuric acid and ethanol. His teacher in medicine was Ali Ibn Sahl Rabban al-Tabari, a physician and philosopher born to a Jewish family in Merv, Tabaristan of modern today Iran. Ibn Rabban converted to Islam during the rule of the Abbasid Caliph Al-Mu’tasim who took him into the service of the court, in which he continued under the Caliph Al-Mutawakkil. Al- Razi studied medicine and probably also philosophy with Ibn Rabban. Therefore, his interest in spiritual philosophy can be traced to this master. Al Razi quickly surpassed his teacher, and became a famous physician. He was appointed as director of the hospital of his hometown Al Rayy during the reign of Mansur Ibn Ishaq Ibn Ahmad Ibn Asad of the Samanian dynasty. Al Razi’s fame reached to the capital of the Abbasids. He was called upon by Caliph Al Muktafi to be the chief director of the largest hospital in Baghdad. Al Razi is attributed with a remarkable method for selecting the site of a new hospital. When the Chief Minister of Al Muktafi, named Adhud Al Daullah, requested him to build a new hospital, he had pieces of fresh meat placed in various areas of Baghdad. A few days later, he checked the pieces, and he selected the area where the least rotten piece was found, stating that the “air” was cleaner and healthier there. ========================================================== Completed   ======================   NABTEB IRK-OBJ 1CABAADCCDA 11CDBAADBCDA 21ADBABCBADA 31DBACAAABCD 41BDCADDBACD IRK THEORY

They are of no benefit to this life nor to the hereafter, in terms of belief, speech or actions. Muhammad instructed his followers to emigrate to Medina until nearly all of them left Mecca. According to tradition, the Meccans, alarmed at the departure, plotted to assassinate Muhammad. In June 622, when he was warned of the plot, Muhammad slipped out of Mecca with his companion, Abu Bakr. On the night of his departure, Muhammad’s house was besieged by the appointed men of Quraysh. It is said that when Muhammad emerged from his house, he recited the a verse from the Quran and threw a handful of dust in the direction of the besiegers, which prevented them seeing him. When the Quraysh learned of Muhammad’s escape, they announced a large reward for bringing him back to them, alive or dead, and pursuers scattered in all directions. After eight days’ journey, Muhammad entered the outskirts of Medina, but did not enter the city directly. He stopped at a place called Quba, some miles from the main city, and established a mosque there. After a fourteen-days stay at Quba, Muhammad started for Medina, participating in his first Friday prayer on the way, and upon reaching the city was greeted cordially by its people. =============== ===============   ISLAMIC STUDIES IRS OBJ: 1-10: CDDBACDACD 11-20: BACCBBDADB 21-30: BDACCCBCBC 31-40: CADDDADCCB 41-50: ADDBCBAABA IRS (1) (a) Sleeping and Waking up Early (b) Use of Miswak (c) Having always a pleasant smile (d) Doing Hijama (Cupping) (e) Sit while eating or drinking (f) Always speaks good or keep silent ====================================== (2a) Bismillah Ar-Rahman Ar-Raheem Qul a’udhu bi Rabbi-n-nas Maliki-n-nas Ilahi-n-nas Min-sharri-l-waswasi-l-khannas Alladhi yuwaswisu fi suduri-n-nas Min al-jinnati wa-n-nas ================================= (3a) Prophet Muhammad (S, A, W) was monogamous for 25 years when married to his first wife, Khadija bint Khuwaylid .
