What Is the Difference Between WASSCE and WAEC?

The West African Senior School Certificate Examination is a type of standardized test across West Africa administered by the West African Examinations Council. It is only offered to candidates residing in Anglophone West African countries.

WAEC is an acronym for the West African Examinations Council, an examination board established by law to determine the examinations required in the public interest in the English-speaking West African countries, to conduct the examinations, and award certificates comparable to those of equivalent examining authorities internationally.

WASSCE is the examination while WAEC is the conducting body.
